U-MAD Truck Mounted Attenuator
The U-MAD Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA) provides positive protection for works personnel and motorists in a slow moving or stationary work zone.
The U-MAD is a true full width TMA providing full coverage to the rear of the support vehicle. This helps to keep the impacting vehicle in the impact zone, instead of redirection back into traffic or the work zone. In accordance with NCHRP 350, the U-MAD TMA (100km/h) has been independently tested to meet Test Level 3, (Test 50, 51) as well as optional tests 52 and 53 (off centre head on, off centre 10 degrees).
